Robert K. Oermann of Music Row calls the single, "Moody, smoky, and sultry," and he mentioned Robin as one of a few indie artists who are really " stepping up to the plate to challenge the major leaguers " (Music Row, 2006).
In 2007, "Cotton Field Girl," climbed to the top ten in Texas: a much celebrated success after visiting hundreds of radio stations, countless gigs, and many years of relentless pursuit. Her single "Mama's Don't Let Your Cowboys Grow Up to Be Babies," is top 20 and still climbing. With Robin's unique blend of Texas troubador story-telling, blues harp playing, and dynamic soulful singing, this velvet covered brick is bound to keep on "knocking 'em out."
